Team Strabag with OYO as local architect is selected for the Final Round of the Design and Build assignment of Be-MINE PIT: one of the biggest industrial heritage sites in Flanders.
During the last century, the mining industry played a significant role in the Limburg area. In order to keep the industrial heart of the area alive and to bring it closer to the public, the site is now being transformed as a recreational mine innovation centre, aspiring to combine its unique heritage, innovative architecture, artistic lighting and innovative, experience-filled interpretation into one site.
In addition to OYO, team Strabag consists of cepezed, Tinker Imagineers, Arat architects, DELVA Landscape Architects and Tractebel Engineering.
