The new Royal Ballet School Antwerp brings together education, performance, and architecture in a single contemporary landmark.
Designed by cuypers & Q and OYO, the new building reflects the discipline, elegance, and dynamism of dance itself. The architecture creates an inspiring environment where students can develop their artistic talents while benefiting from state-of-the-art facilities tailored to the demands of professional dance training.
For more than 75 years, the Royal Ballet School Antwerp has been a leading institution for professional dance education, nurturing generations of talented dancers from Belgium and around the world. As the school continues to grow and strengthen its international position, a new purpose-built campus is being developed in the Nieuw Zuid district of Antwerp.
The new campus will significantly expand the school's capacity and provide a diverse range of spaces dedicated to learning, rehearsal, physical development, and community engagement. Generous dance studios, educational facilities, and shared spaces are carefully integrated to foster both individual growth and collective creativity.
The Royal Ballet School Antwerp's new campus is conceived as an investment in the future of dance education—a place where young talent can thrive, where artistic excellence is cultivated, and where the next generation of dancers can prepare for careers on stages around the world.
