Living apart together

"It takes a village to raise a child"—an age-old saying that emphasizes the power of community. Yet, in today’s fast-paced world, the essence of village life is disappearing. In collaboration with Cohousing Projects, we have reimagined this traditional concept, crafting a new part of Oostkamp where the spirit of "living apart together" can thrive.

Building a Sustainable, Thriving Community

At Cohousing Oostkamp, social interactions are woven into the fabric of daily life, driven by a collective dedication to environmental stewardship. Sharing resources and services not only enriches the lives of residents but also extends sustainable practices to the wider community. Initiatives such as food cooperatives, car-sharing programs, and group purchases help create a lifestyle that reduces environmental impact while fostering a sense of togetherness.

Common space

The heart of the project is the common house, a dynamic space that adapts to the residents' needs. It serves as a hub for coworking, where neighbors can collaborate or work independently in a supportive environment.
