As a new heart for Agristo's Nazareth production site, the new office building combines an inviting welcome with industrial efficiency, green outdoor spaces and smart energy reuse.
To preserve a link with the past, the structural columns of the old office building are retained and extended in a grid pattern into the new volume. The design steps back in a terraced form, giving every floor direct access to green outdoor spaces.
The office is conceptualised as a space with multiple areas designed to facilitate focus, collaboration, relaxation or socialisation. Placed strategically throughout the building, these areas encourage circulation of staff and cross departmental collaboration.
The building recovers residual energy from the adjacent energy-intensive production area. Cooling draws from the cold floor of the deep-freeze warehouse, supplemented to meet peak demands, whereas heating makes use of waste heat from production, creating an efficient energy loop that benefits the entire site.
